EAA Meeting October 3

RV-10 visit to Waterville Airport

RV-10 from East Pubnico

We met at the Kings County airport (Waterville Airport) a bit earlier than usual (12:30 pm) and had some eats of hotdogs and hamburgers. But the real attraction was chatting with other aviators and members of eaa1051.  An added attraction was the new RV-10 that brought four EAA members up from East Pubnico for the meeting.

A nice day for an outdoor EAA meeting

We had a brief meeting of introductions and discussions about creating a centre (or centres) for EAA aviation activity and meetings. The purpose is to increase the strength of the EAA in Nova Scotia. Executive and members in the Valley will meet to consider methods and plans.

June Meeting – Sunday June 27 – 2pm

We met at the Wolfville home of Christoph Both to view his Europa which has been painted and is closer to completion.  The July 2010 issue of “Kitplanes” has an article on this type of aircraft.  Nine members attended for the viewing, discussions and refreshments on a very nice sunny day.

(Saturday 30th Jan) A small group of Scotia Eagle members gathered this on blustery day at the Kings County Airport for an afternoon of discussions. Larry Bogan talked about the sport of Soaring as it applies to our area, including the history, clubs involved, and equipment as well as the conditions for soaring on thermals, ridge lift and wave lift.
