We met at the Wolfville home of Christoph Both to view his Europa which has been painted and is closer to completion. The July 2010 issue of “Kitplanes” has an article on this type of aircraft. Nine members attended for the viewing, discussions and refreshments on a very nice sunny day.

The Chapter will not be meeting in February 2010.

January 2010 Meeting

(Saturday 30th Jan) A small group of Scotia Eagle members gathered this on blustery day at the Kings County Airport for an afternoon of discussions. Larry Bogan talked about the sport of Soaring as it applies to our area, including the history, clubs involved, and equipment as well as the conditions for soaring on thermals, ridge lift and wave lift.

Additional discussions were on new aircraft projects, outreach to attract new members, possible Young Eagles activity later this year and how to use the eaa1051.org website for displaying members projects, etc.

Many members of Scotia Eagles crowded into Robert’s garage to see and discuss the construction of his aircraft. He has the wings finished and the photo show the extent of the fuselage construction.
