frogThe exciting and interesting Young Naturalists Club provides an opportunity for children 8 years old and up to connect with nature in a fun and informative way.

Club members learn about the natural world from hands-on experiences and interactions with mentors and experts in natural history.

In monthly meetings, Club members hear from engaging speakers about fascinating nature-related topics, and gain instruction in natural historydeer skills such as how to use a field guide.  Meetings are heldat the Museum of Natural History, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

On monthly field trips, Club members go on hikes at nearby wild areas, led by expert naturalists. There will be opportunities for members to use their observation, identification, and environmental stewardship skills, AND have a lot of fun! Field trips are usually within a half hour drive of Halifax.

To stay informed about the Club, including the dates for meetings and field trips, visit our Event Calendar page.

All meetings and field trips will be free, thanks to the donations of time and money by supporting natural history organizations and funders.
