April monthly meeting – Nesting bags and seed bombs

Saturday, April 19, 2014
10:30 am - 12:00 pm

For our April meeting, YOU have the chance to help make this spring a little more wonderful for wildlife. We’ll do two nature crafts that you can add to the natural environment. The first is Nesting Bags, where we fill mesh bags with bits of yarn and wool and other natural fibres. These can be hung in trees to provide birds with materials for their nest. The second craft is Seed Bombs. We’ll take wildflower seeds and mix them with mud to have a portable native seed bank. Plants the bombs just about anywhere this spring, and they will provide flowers for bees and other pollinators to feed on and spread.
