Become a water detective! There are many creatures that live in streams and rivers that give us clues whether that water is healthy or not. We will be searching for, identifying and sorting these creatures to assess ecosystem health. Join us to put your water sleuthing skills into action and remember to bring (tall!) boots as we may have to do our detective work in the stream.
Our special guest star is: Lesley Carter. Lesley is an aquatic scientist with Environment and Climate Change Canada and is the CABIN (Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network) Coordinator for the Atlantic Provinces. She grew up in the Annapolis Valley and currently lives with her family in an old farmhouse in Beaver Bank. Lesley studied marine biology at Dalhousie University and Marine Geomatics at COGS in Lawrencetown.
Note the (morning) time of this field trip.
