A day for Children and Families to celebrate our natural world and

the food that comes from it.

Want to share nature with children?  Love woods-walking, music, good food and maple syrup and music?

Come spend the day at Sugar Moon this long-weekend Sunday (rain or shine).

    • Hike with Gary Saunders (artist, author,forester)
    • Learn about maple syrup and taste the Maple Syrup 2013 Season.
    • Eat a tasty lunch in the restaurant (MENU)
  • Enjoy a concert by our favourite children’s musical group:  The Wilderbeats! 

The Wilderbeats are Joyce Saunders and Shannon Lynch, two Nova Scotian musicians who share a background in youth-focused environmental education. As Wilderbeats, they write and perform interactive songs about nature for the young and young-at-heart.

10:00 am Stereoscope and Snacks

Andy and Sienna (friends of Sugar Moon) are setting up their stereoscope (super microscope) at Sugar Moon for viewing such fascinating things as pond water…

11:00 am Nature Walk

Guided Hike – appropriate for all ages – with Gary Saunders.

12:15 (after hike) Maple Syrup Taste Education

For all, at Sugar Camp, with Quita

Lunch time (restaurant open – MENU)

2:00 The Wilderbeats performance

$5 adults, $3 children 12 and under
