What’s this Clean Across NS? link: Clean Across Nova Scotia
… [It] is a two-day, province wide cleanup aimed at promoting massive participation as part of the ‘Let’s do it!: World Cleanup’ movement. It is the first event of its kind in the country, representing Canada in a global coalition of nearly 100 countries who aim to ‘clean up the world’.
… [It] is more than a cleanup. It is one of the biggest volunteer actions in Nova Scotia, and it highlights the importance of caring for the places we live, work and play in. By working together to tackle the problems of litter and waste, we build relationships within our communities, across the province, and around the world through the global ‘Let’s do it!’ movement.
Only with a large group of citizens committed to caring and stewardship can we hope to develop lasting solutions to a disposable lifestyle.
We believe that cleaning together can change the world.
