We are going to participate in the longest running citizen science event in the world! Join us for the 115th Christmas Bird Count. We will survey the park from 9:00am to 11:00am and tally up all the birds we see according to the count protocol. Bird identification help will be provided by some generous and knowledgeable members of the Nova Scotia Bird Society. Stick around afterwards for cookies, warm cider, and draw prizes! Please bring a mug.

Meet at the lower parking lot (Black Rock Beach parking lot) at 9:00am. Dress warmly! And please register for the event with by sending an email with the number of people in your party to ynchalifax at yahoo dot ca.

Thank you to The Wild Bird Co. and Walkers Livestock Feed and Supplies for draw prize donations of bird seed and feeders, and to Pete’s Frootique for the warm apple cider!
