9:00 am - 11:00 am
Like the traditional Christmas Bird Count (now in its 116th year), the Christmas Bird Count for Kids (CBC4Kids) gathers young birdwatchers for a bird count, and provides valuable data on winter bird locations and populations that researchers use to understand bird ecology. We’ll gather together to start, then split up into groups to cover much of the park. Fantastic bird watchers from the Nova Scotia Bird Society will share their expertise and help us learn about the species we’ll see. Also… warm apple cider! Treats! Prizes! And you can borrow binoculars!
Meet at the lower parking lot (end of Point Pleasant Drive, by the container pier). Bring binoculars if you have them, and dress super warm.
Register by sending a quick email to ynchalifax at yahoo dot ca with the number of people from your family that will be attending.
