Description

The forests in Nova Scotia give us more than just fiber from trees.

The end of winter is sweet! Every year we look forward to the maple sap flow to collect and make into yummy syrup. Come see how this truly Canadian treat is made and have a taste!

The forests are living systems made up of many organisms living together in a dynamic (ever changing) balance. Join us for a hike along the trails to learn about the gifts of the forests through activities and exploration. Think about what healthy forests can provide for us – not just food. There is good medicine out there for the mind too. The healing properties of the forest is what First Nations people call “good medicine” – and the forest is good for you too!
