9:00 am - 11:00 am
Join us for an introduction to some of the species of gulls that are found in our Halifax Harbour waters. Gulls are an extremely important part of of our ecology and you may be surprised at the variety we have here. Join David Currie, President of the Nova Scotia Bird Society as we use telescopes and binoculars to identify the gulls at MacCormack’s Beach in Eastern Passage and then a short walk along the west side beach of Hartlen Point.
Meet at 9:00AM at MacCormack’s Beach parking lot, Eastern Passage. After some birding at the beach, we will car pool a short distance to Hartlen Point. Duration will be approximately 2 hours. Register by sending an email to ynchalifax [at] yahoo.ca. New families always welcome!
