at the Singing Nettles Herbal Clinic with Amanda Dainow
Plants offer us so much beyond just their beauty. Join Amanda Dainow for a plant walk around the gardens where she will discuss the medicinal and edible uses of the plants. She will help us make some herbal lemonade to drink and we will play some games exploring the connection between plants and the ecosystem
Amanda Dainow is an experienced Child Care worker (day care, day camp, sleep-away camp). She completed the ‘Mentoring in the Outdoors’ training program and has been an Outdoor Education Program Leader. She has had success teaching kids about herbs at Berwick School and offers public and school-based workshops. She has made herbal lemonade with an enthusiastic group of kids at the Burlington Canada Day Celebrations for the past 2 years. She has also assisted in cooking classes with middle school students. She is an accredited Clinical Herbalist and is Certified in Holistic Care for Companion Animals. She offers public workshops on Herbal Medicine and Natural Care for Animals. She is the founder and Director of North Mountain Animal Sanctuary, a Registered Charity, and the Natural Medicine Standards/Compliance Committee of Nova Scotia. She offers Herbal Medicine consultations, Reiki for animals and people and is a Certified Life Coach Practitioner. Specializing in Health and Wellness. She has a full dispensary.
