The Berwick YNC will be joining the Blomidon Naturalists Society to build and install Tree Swallow nest boxes in Miners Marsh on September 13th. Tree swallows are cavity nesting birds and sometimes they can not find suitable nesting sites close to food sources… So, we are going to help them out by building them nest boxes for next year`s babies!
Please read the following directions in the next couple paragraphs:
We will be meeting at the workshop of Ed Sulis (107 Canaan Ave, Kentville) to assemble nest boxes at ~9am (all materials and tools will be provided). We will then travel to nearby Miner’s Marsh to install the boxes.
