10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Although its mostly gone, the snow inspired me to get out and look for tracks and I was rewarded for my efforts, highlighting the aliveness of the forest through the tracks. To the untrained eye a forest or field can look vacant in dry weather, but in the snow (or mud) it comes alive with the activities of our non-human neighbours.
I am very pleased that Soren Bondrup-Nieleson of the Blomidon Naturalist Society will lead the tracking expedition into the Kentville Bird Sanctuary on Saturday January 21st. We will go regardless of snow and if we do have a dump before the weekend, bring snowshoes if you can.
We will meet in the parking lot behind the Evergreen Home for Special Care at 10 am.
See you soon,
